- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 8 tbs unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 3/4 cup chopped Heath bar
- 1/4 cup chopped Heath bar, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and egg, mixing well.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet ingredients, mixing until combined. Fold in 3/4 cup chopped Heath bar, ensuring even distribution.
- Drop rounded cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges turn golden brown.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle remaining chopped Heath bar on top while cookies are warm. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. You can freeze the cookies for up to three months.
