Description

Delightful cookies combining rich toffee flavor with a chewy base, enhanced by crunchy Heath bar pieces.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 tbs unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup chopped Heath bar
  • 1/4 cup chopped Heath bar, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and egg, mixing well.
  3. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet ingredients, mixing until combined. Fold in 3/4 cup chopped Heath bar, ensuring even distribution.
  4. Drop rounded cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges turn golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle remaining chopped Heath bar on top while cookies are warm. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. You can freeze the cookies for up to three months.
