Ingredients

  • 115 g unsalted butter
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 35 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 65 g all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 85 g chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 20 cm square baking tin and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared tin and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let cool completely, then cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
