Ingredients

  • 2 small onions
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the onions by cutting the tops off, peeling them, and slicing the bottoms for stability.
  3. Mix the coating by combining the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Coat the onions by dipping each into the flour mixture, then eggs, and finally the breadcrumbs.
  5. Spray the coated onions with cooking spray and place them in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
