Description

A delightful dish that combines the comforting flavors of a classic hamburger into a cheesy baked meal, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced tomatoes or bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is tender.
  3. Prepare the egg noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Add optional diced tomatoes or bell peppers.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm straight from the oven.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for 2-3 months.
