Ingredients

- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed (approximately 8.8 oz)
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
- 5.3 oz guava paste, cut into 8 equal pieces
- 3.5 oz cream cheese or mozzarella, cut into 8 equal pieces
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the rolled pastry into 8 equal rectangles.
- Place one piece of guava paste and one piece of cream cheese in the center of each rectangle.
- Fold each rectangle over the filling to form a square or triangle shape. Seal the edges with a fork.
- Transfer the pastries to the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg wash.
- Bake the pastries for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
