Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed (approximately 8.8 oz)
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
  • 5.3 oz guava paste, cut into 8 equal pieces
  • 3.5 oz cream cheese or mozzarella, cut into 8 equal pieces
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the rolled pastry into 8 equal rectangles.
  4. Place one piece of guava paste and one piece of cream cheese in the center of each rectangle.
  5. Fold each rectangle over the filling to form a square or triangle shape. Seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Transfer the pastries to the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg wash.
  7. Bake the pastries for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
