Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons apple butter
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer cheese, apple slices, and apple butter.
  3. Top with the other slice of bread, buttered side out.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, drizzle some apple butter on the side for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
