Description

A delightful Greek yogurt cake that’s moist, tangy, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional mix-ins (fruits, nuts, chocolate chips)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. Combine the Greek yogurt, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in any optional mix-ins if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature and avoid overmixing for a lighter cake. Customizations include fruits or nuts.
