Description

Delicious gluten-free bagels that are chewy and perfect for toasting, ideal for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast, letting it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  4. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  5. Divide dough into six equal portions, rolling each into a ball, and poke a hole through the center to form bagels.
  6. Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
