- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chilled unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt, then mix in chilled butter until crumbly; add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add water until the dough comes together; divide, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll out one piece of dough, spread filling, roll out second piece, place over the filling, seal edges, cut slits on top, and brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool, then mix powdered sugar and milk for icing and drizzle over the cooled pop tart.
