Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chilled unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for icing)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt, then mix in chilled butter until crumbly; add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Gradually add water until the dough comes together; divide, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Roll out one piece of dough, spread filling, roll out second piece, place over the filling, seal edges, cut slits on top, and brush with egg wash.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool, then mix powdered sugar and milk for icing and drizzle over the cooled pop tart.
