Description

A delightful, comforting dish featuring tender chicken in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot. Make sure they’re in a single layer for even cooking.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the chicken in the crockpot. Then, add the chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Ensure everything is well combined.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crockpot and stir it into the delicious sauce.
  6. Serve the garlic butter chicken over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, try using herb-infused butter or adding a splash of lemon juice before serving. You can substitute the chicken breasts with thighs for a richer taste.
