Description
A delightful, comforting dish featuring tender chicken in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot. Make sure they’re in a single layer for even cooking.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the chicken in the crockpot. Then, add the chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Ensure everything is well combined.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crockpot and stir it into the delicious sauce.
- Serve the garlic butter chicken over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
For added flavor, try using herb-infused butter or adding a splash of lemon juice before serving. You can substitute the chicken breasts with thighs for a richer taste.
