Description

A delightful dessert featuring vibrant fruits over a creamy filling in a crisp tart crust, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made tart crust
  • 1 cup pastry cream
  • 2 cups assorted fresh fruit (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, peaches)
  • 1/4 cup apricot jam
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the tart crust package instructions and bake the crust until golden. Let it cool completely before adding the filling.
  2. Spread the cooled pastry cream evenly in the bottom of the tart crust, ensuring it reaches the edges and creates a smooth layer.
  3. Arrange the assorted fresh fruit on top of the pastry cream in a decorative pattern.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat the apricot jam and water over low heat until melted and smooth. Brush the jam over the fruit to give it a shiny finish and a slight sweet glaze.
  5. Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For easier slicing, use a sharp knife dipped in warm water. Use peak-season fruits for the best flavor.
