- 12 oz egg noodles
- 2 cans tuna in water, drained
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions and drain them well.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, frozen peas, chopped onion (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Pour the noodle mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread it evenly. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra creaminess, add a dollop of sour cream. Experiment with different cheeses for variations.
