Description

A comforting and creamy casserole featuring egg noodles, tuna, and a generous amount of cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cans tuna in water, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions and drain them well.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, frozen peas, chopped onion (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Pour the noodle mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread it evenly. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add a dollop of sour cream. Experiment with different cheeses for variations.
