Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla and rum extracts, nutmeg, cinnamon, and beat in the egg. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
Ensure butter and cream cheese are at room temperature for easier mixing. For a richer flavor, use freshly grated nutmeg.
