  • 1 cup softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Mix in vanilla and rum extracts, nutmeg, cinnamon, and beat in the egg. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Ensure butter and cream cheese are at room temperature for easier mixing. For a richer flavor, use freshly grated nutmeg.
