Description

A delightful, soft, and pillowy flatbread that’s yeast-free and perfect for pairing with curries or enjoying with dips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ cup plain yogurt
  • Water, as needed to form a dough

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the olive oil and yogurt to the dry ingredients and mix until a rough dough forms. Adjust with water as needed.
  3. Divide the dough into four equal portions, roll each into a ball, then flatten into a round disc about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook each naan for 1-2 minutes on each side until puffed and golden.
  5. Keep finished naan warm in a kitchen towel until all are cooked.

Notes

Serve warm with dips or curries. You can also add spices or cheese to the dough for variations.
