- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Cooked rice or naan for serving
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and ginger, cook until fragrant, roughly 1 minute.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Mix in crushed tomatoes, garam masala, cumin, paprika, and salt; bring to a gentle simmer.
- Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream, and cook for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens and chicken is fully cooked.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
Notes
For a milder version, reduce the spices; for a vegetarian option, replace chicken with paneer or chickpeas.
