- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- Italian seasoning to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by softening the cream cheese in the microwave for about 30 seconds and set it aside.
- Cut the chicken breasts in half horizontally and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken and add the chopped onion to the skillet, sautéing until soft.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for a minute until fragrant.
- Mix in the chicken broth and softened cream cheese until smooth, adding red pepper flakes if desired.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, warming through in the sauce for a few minutes.
