- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, followed by sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and gently combine. Gradually mix in the flour.
- Combine the cinnamon and brown sugar in a bowl. Pour half of the batter into the pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then add the rest of the batter and the remaining cinnamon-sugar.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool for about 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use overripe bananas for best flavor and remember not to overmix the batter.
