Description

A delightful vegetarian dish combining tender broccoli and gooey cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for appetizers or quick dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, steamed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to fit your baking dish.
  3. Combine the steamed broccoli, shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder in a bowl.
  4. Place the broccoli mixture on one half of the pastry, fold the other half over, and seal the edges tightly.
  5. Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the pastry.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a side dip like marinara or ranch. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
