- 2 cups fresh tomatoes, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch slices and arrange them on a baking sheet.
- Brush the slices generously with olive oil and toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, balsamic vinegar, remaining olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss gently until mixed.
- Spoon the tomato mixture onto the toasted baguette slices and serve immediately.
