Description

Delicious cookies bursting with rich chocolate flavor and adorned with colorful pastel toppings, perfect for celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • Pastel colored M&M’s or sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
  8. Press pastel M&M’s or sprinkles on top of each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze for longer storage.
