- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- Pastel colored M&M’s or sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
- Press pastel M&M’s or sprinkles on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
