Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups water
Instructions
- Mix the flour, salt, and instant yeast in a large bowl until combined.
- Add the water to the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and let the dough rise for 12 to 18 hours at room temperature.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place your Dutch oven inside to heat up.
- Turn the risen dough out onto a well-floured surface and shape it into a ball.
- Remove the heated Dutch oven from the oven, place the dough inside, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool the bread on a rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Store the bread in a paper bag at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze slices for up to 3 months.
