Description
Indulge in warm, freshly baked double chocolate chip cookies with rich, chocolate flavor and a perfect balance between soft, chewy centers and crispy edges.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare ungreased baking sheets.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together and gradually blend into the wet ingredients until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and white chocolate chips gently. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and golden brown. The centers may appear underbaked.
- Remove from the oven and cool on the sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Consider adding nuts for extra texture.
