Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together and gradually blend into the wet ingredients until just incorporated.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips and white chocolate chips gently. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and golden brown. The centers may appear underbaked.
  6. Remove from the oven and cool on the sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Consider adding nuts for extra texture.
