Indulgent double chocolate chip cookies with a rich cocoa base and gooey chocolate chips.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time and add vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set. Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For a nutty twist, add 1 cup of chopped nuts. For mint chocolate flavor, substitute mint chocolate chips.
