Description

Indulgent double chocolate chip cookies with a rich cocoa base and gooey chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time and add vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set. Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For a nutty twist, add 1 cup of chopped nuts. For mint chocolate flavor, substitute mint chocolate chips.
