- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- Melt the dark chocolate chips and butter together in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- Whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stir in the melted chocolate mixture into the egg-sugar mix.
- Fold in the heavy cream and cocoa powder until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature with optional toppings.
