Description

A comforting and wholesome crockpot meal of tender chicken and nutrient-rich cabbage, slow cooked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Layer the chopped cabbage at the bottom of a crockpot.
  2. Place the chicken breasts on top of the cabbage.
  3. Add the sliced onions and minced garlic over the chicken.
  4. Mix the chicken broth, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, and olive oil in a bowl.
  5. Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken and vegetables.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For more flavor, marinate the chicken in the broth mixture overnight before cooking. You can also add other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers.
