A delightful vegan dish featuring crispy tofu coated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce.

- 1 block firm tofu, pressed and drained
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Cut the pressed tofu into cubes and place them in a bowl.
- Pour the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce over the tofu and gently toss.
- Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Gently toss the marinated tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add the tofu cubes.
- Cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 10-15 minutes.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with sliced green onions.
- Serve over a bed of cooked rice.
Notes
Press tofu thoroughly and consider marinating longer for deeper flavor. Avoid overcrowding the skillet for even cooking.
