- 1 block Extra-Firm Tofu
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger, grated
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
- Coat the tofu cubes evenly with cornstarch.
- Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a separate bowl.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu and fry until golden and crispy on all sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Toss the crispy tofu in the prepared honey garlic sauce until well-coated.
- Serve hot, garnished as desired.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider double-coating the tofu with cornstarch. Ensure oil is hot enough before adding tofu.
