- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz crab meat (real or imitation), finely chopped
- Wonton wrappers
- Water, for sealing
- Oil, for frying
Instructions
- Preparation: Gather all your ingredients and tools. Make sure the cream cheese is softened. Thinly slice the green onions and chop crab meat finely.
- Mixing: In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Filling: Spoon about 1 tsp of crab mixture onto each wonton wrapper. Avoid overfilling.
- Sealing: Wet edges of wonton wrappers with water, fold to form a triangle or purse shape, and seal tight.
- Cooking: Heat oil in a frying pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry wontons in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Finishing: Allow to cool before serving to enhance flavors.
Notes
Pair with sweet and sour or soy sauce for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
