  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the sweet corn, shredded cheese, flour, cornmeal, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly combined.
  2. Beat the egg in a separate bowl and add it to the corn mixture; stir until well incorporated.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, ensuring enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
  4. Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture and shape them into small bites or patties.
  5. Fry the bites in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the bites from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider baking the bites in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, turning halfway through.
