Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss until well-coated.
- Layer the potatoes in a greased tart pan or skillet, overlapping them slightly. Optionally, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use starchy potatoes like Russets for the best texture. Allow the torte to cool slightly before slicing to retain its shape.
