- 1/2 cup flour

- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced

- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp chives, chopped
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Slice each chicken breast horizontally into four pieces for even cooking.
- Combine flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a shallow dish.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- Melt more butter in the same pan and add sliced mushrooms.
- Cook until golden, then add diced garlic and sauté briefly.
- Pour in the chicken stock and heavy cream, stirring in chives and parsley. Simmer until slightly thickened (about 3-5 minutes).
- Mix in grated Parmesan and lemon juice, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the chicken to the pan, coating it in the sauce before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper for 30 minutes before cooking. This dish pairs well with rice, pasta, or crusty bread.
