Description
A rich and zesty finishing sauce that elevates any meal, perfect for grilled steak, seafood, or roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Start by placing the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Allow it to melt until foamy, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Once melted, add the finely minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
- Stir in the Dijon mustard, lemon zest, lemon juice, smoked paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, kosher salt, and cayenne pepper if using. Let it gently simmer for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley, chives, and thyme until evenly distributed. Serve warm over steak, seafood, or grilled vegetables.
Notes
Use high-quality unsalted butter for the best flavor. Feel free to experiment with different herbs and adjust the heat level to your taste.
