  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by placing the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Allow it to melt until foamy, watching closely to prevent burning.
  2. Once melted, add the finely minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
  3. Stir in the Dijon mustard, lemon zest, lemon juice, smoked paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, kosher salt, and cayenne pepper if using. Let it gently simmer for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley, chives, and thyme until evenly distributed. Serve warm over steak, seafood, or grilled vegetables.
