Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, sugar, cocoa powder, flour, applesauce, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. If using, gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before cutting.
