- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- Additional crushed Oreos for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies until evenly distributed. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Frost the cooled cake with the whipped cream and sprinkle additional crushed Oreos on top. Serve and enjoy!
