Description

A zesty, creamy accompaniment that elevates any seafood dish, perfect for fish and chips or as a dip for vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp capers, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 small shallot, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the dill pickles, capers, fresh dill, parsley, and shallot.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Stir in the chopped pickles, capers, dill, parsley, shallot, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and sugar until well incorporated.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Let the sauce rest for 15 minutes (optional) before serving chilled.

Notes

For extra zest, consider adding a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
