Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Additional butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, and melted butter; mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake; cook until bubbles form and edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Serve with maple syrup, fresh fruits, or yogurt. Leftover pancakes can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
