Description

A delightful dessert that combines the warmth of cinnamon and the sweetness of baked apples, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups diced apples
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking pan.
  2. Peel and dice the apples, toss them with 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples evenly.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  8. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or with coffee/tea. Store leftovers in an airtight container or freeze for longer storage.
