Description

A delightful no-bake dessert that combines dark chocolate, biscuits, and nuts, resembling traditional salami.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 100g butter
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 200g digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 100g nuts (hazelnuts or almonds), chopped
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until fluffy and pale.
  3. Once the chocolate mixture has cooled slightly, combine it with the fluffy egg mixture and stir well.
  4. Gently fold in the crushed digestive biscuits and chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
  5. Lay a piece of plastic wrap on your counter, pour the chocolate mixture onto the center, and shape it into a log using the wrap.
  6. Twist the ends of the plastic wrap tightly to secure the shape and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  7. Once firm, unwrap the log and roll it in cocoa powder to coat the outside, then slice into rounds and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for a month. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving. Consider adding flavors like vanilla extract or orange zest for variation.
