- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Mix the brown sugar with additional ground cinnamon for the topping.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, serve warm with powdered sugar on top, alongside coffee or tea.
