Description
A warm and comforting bread infused with the aroma of cinnamon and sweet apples, perfect for pairing with coffee or as a dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Make a well in the center and add the melted butter and the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough begins to form.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll the risen dough out into a rectangle. Sprinkle with diced apples and brown sugar, then twist gently.
- Place the twisted dough into a greased loaf pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving.
