- Saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange Saltine crackers in a single layer.
- Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Bring to a gentle boil for 3-4 minutes.
- Pour the toffee mixture over the crackers, spreading it evenly. Bake for 5-6 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let them melt for a few minutes.
- Spread the melted chocolate gently and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Allow to cool before breaking into pieces.
Notes
For a nutty twist, add chopped nuts before the chocolate. For a spicy kick, mix in a dash of cayenne pepper.
