- 3/4 cup chocolate ganache or jam for filling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Add vanilla and mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually sift into the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet, creating an indentation in each ball with your thumb.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm. Fill thumbprint indents with filling while warm.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
