- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter (optional)
Instructions
- Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place them in a heatproof bowl.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Add butter if using.
- Allow the ganache to cool slightly before using.
Notes
Store leftover ganache in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Gently reheat to use it again.
