Description

A luscious and versatile frosting and filling that transforms cakes, pastries, and desserts into decadent treats.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz dark chocolate
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place them in a heatproof bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Add butter if using.
  5. Allow the ganache to cool slightly before using.

Notes

Store leftover ganache in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Gently reheat to use it again.
