Description

Delicious chocolate fudge cake doughnuts that are moist, easy to make, and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each cavity about halfway.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let the baked doughnuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. If desired, glaze the doughnuts or dust with powdered sugar before serving.
