Description

Delightful heart-shaped cookies dipped in rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until fluffy and light.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour and salt until well combined. Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thick and cut out heart shapes.
  5. Place cookies on a lined baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden.
  6. Cool cookies on a wire rack. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and dip cooled cookies in it, letting excess drip off.
  7. Optional: Decorate with sprinkles or drizzle with white chocolate.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for two weeks. Layer cookies with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
