Description

Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies that are easy to make and loved by all ages.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this into the butter mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For chewier cookies, underbake slightly and let them sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring.
