Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Gradually incorporate the flour and salt, stirring until fully combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips, then press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden.
  5. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes
