- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Gradually incorporate the flour and salt, stirring until fully combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, then press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzled with chocolate sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
