- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry preserves
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place on the prepared baking sheet. Create a small indentation in each ball using your thumb.
- Fill each indentation with about 1/2 teaspoon of cherry preserves.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cookies are set.
- Melt the dark chocolate chips over low heat, then drizzle over the baked cookies.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.
