Description

A delightful combination of sweet and salty, these bars feature rich chocolate, smooth caramel, and crunchy pretzels, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Crush the pretzels into roughly broken pieces and spread evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes until it forms a smooth caramel sauce.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the sweetened condensed milk, instant coffee granules, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the layer of pretzels in the baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the caramel layer.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until chocolate is bubbly and edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For best texture, ensure pretzels are crushed into small pieces. You can chill or freeze the bars for later enjoyment.
