- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
- Beat in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the cake cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
